Her thoughtfulness and kind heart is what makes her invaluable.

Julia was an incredibly special part of our birth experience and not sure there was anyone more perfect for us. Leading up to birth, Julia provided so much knowledge and care to make sure we really felt prepared for this magical experience. Her knowledge was immensely helpful, but it was really Julia’s thoughtfulness and kind heart that makes her invaluable. 

Our birth plan changed when I needed to be induced, but Julia helped navigate those feelings leading up to it to ensure I would have an empowered experience.

Once we were at the hospital, Julia set up a wonderland of calming lights - it made all the difference in emotionally preparing for the experience. Every nurse actually said it was the best room setup they had ever seen! Julia also made sure I was taken care of, had a voice in the experience and wrote my own story. Even when my birth experience took a different direction later in labor, and having to get a c section after hours of pushing, Julia brought the calming energy I needed when I felt incredibly scared - and she was the first person we saw when I got out. It says so much about who she is and how much she cares that she waited late into the night for us. She also made sure to have a nurse bring in my placenta to see-  I had wanted to see my placenta and thought all hope was lost after having a c section! Finally, beyond all her support to me, she was a major support to my husband- she really provided so much love to us as a couple.  

I cannot recommend Julia enough. Our birth experience and welcoming our daughter was so special because we had Julia as our doula, and she will always have a special place in our hearts.
